Inviter cinq auteurs à s’exprimer sur le travail de celle qui, depuis près d’une dizaine d’années, aborde le parfum dans son rapport au temps, à l’espace et à la mémoire, permet de fournir à son œuvre une perspective historique, en s’appuyant sur l’histoire de l’art et celle du parfum, mais aussi une ouverture philosophique et une assise politique et scientifique. L’ouvrage donne à sentir par le langage, à percevoir les formes de son travail dans l’espace et à découvrir réellement, avec le nez, un projet parfumé reproduit sur certaines pages. Ce livre sort à l’occasion de l’exposition <em>Le Temps pour horizon</em> de Julie C. Fortier au château d’Oiron, du 11 juillet au 31 octobre 2020. L’exposition s’articule autour de quatre projets : <em>À fleur de pierre</em>, <em>Le Temps pour horizon,</em> <em>Fantosmies n°1</em>, <em>n°2</em>, <em>n°3</em> et<em> Lux</em>.
