<p class="chapeau">For the fourth year, La Criée centre for contemporary arts organises an artist residency in an elementary school with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Direction of Cultural Affairs of Brittany. The challenges of this project are to encourage the access to Arts in the ’Sensitive Urban Areas’, to develop enduring cultural and artistic educational actions while supporting artists’ projects in the territories.</p>
From 20 January to 27 May 2011, the Champion de Cicé School will receive French artist Mathieu Harel-Vivier in residency. At this occasion, pupils and teachers will be invited to discover the process of creation of a work of art and take part in experimental workshops, guided tours, meetings and exchanges. Especially, two forms will participate in the development of a photographic project and an edition with the artist.
